Appearance

The VC-10 Milomo is immediately recognizable by its distinctive large, fleshy, rubbery lips — an adaptation for feeding on invertebrates from rocky crevices. Adult males display a stunning vivid blue to blue-purple body colouration with darker barring, while females are more subdued in silver-grey tones. The combination of the distinctive lips and the vivid blue male colouration makes this one of the most visually striking and unusual Malawi cichlids available.
