Usage: For start up of aquariums with soil, you can choose to either uncap 2-3 capsules and spread evenly on top of first 0.5cm-1cm of soil. After sprinkling, you can re-add another 1cm-2cm of soil on top keep the added root capsules from being exposed to surface of substrate!

For direct feeding of established tanks: Apply 1 root tab for every 5cm/2inch if you are planning to just feed a large grouping of plants. 
More general use: Apply 1 root tab to area of highest root density (essentially direct feeding only under more sensitive plants or plants that require more dedicated feed)

*Note: please push the root tabs as deep as possible! keep in mind that the spread of the root tabs are 5cm/2inch but they are measured as a sphere! 
If planted close to substrate (will work) however you will experience a large build up of algae/ammonia release.
