Seachem Purigen is a synthetic polymer filtration media that removes soluble and insoluble impurities from aquarium water with unparalleled efficiency. It controls ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate by removing nitrogen-containing organic waste before it can break down, resulting in crystal-clear water and a healthier aquatic environment.

How to Use

• Place Purigen in a mesh bag in a high-flow area of your filter
• Use 100 mL per 400 L (100 US gallons) of aquarium water
• Replace or regenerate when the media turns dark brown or black
• To regenerate: soak in a 1:1 bleach/water solution for 24 hours, then rinse and dechlorinate before reuse

When to Replace

Purigen darkens as it absorbs organic waste. Once it turns completely dark brown/black, it is time to regenerate or replace it. With proper regeneration, Purigen can last for years.
