An oddity in the realm of whiptails, the red lizard whiptail has been bred out by germany for a while now however there has been no real definitive wild caught location for the Red lizard whiptail in particular.
Depending on who is answer what, some say this is a colour morph of the more widely spread out Rineloricaria cf. lanceolata (Hemiloricaria lanceolata), however their max sizes are different.
Fairly easy to breed as long as long pipes are provided (0.5" or 1-2cm in diameter of inside pipe)
