Appearance
The Hairy Puffer is immediately recognizable by the small, hair-like spines or bristles that cover much of its body — giving it a uniquely textured, almost furry appearance that is unlike any other pufferfish. - Treats: Frozen bloodworms, earthworms, and other invertebrates
- Note: Wild-caught specimens may initially require live foods; transition to frozen foods with patience. Hard foods essential for beak wear.
Feed every 2–3 days.
Compatibility & Tank Mates
Best kept alone. The Hairy Puffer is aggressive and predatory. A dedicated species-only tank is strongly recommended.
