Echinodorus sp. Hadi red Pearl
Echinodorus sp. Hadi red Pearl
Echinodorus cordifolius sp. Harbich red/Hadi red pearl is a newer hybrid coming out of europe, this unique sword has a much smaller/shorter growth style/pattern.
Reaching a maximum height of roughly 10-20cm when emersed, and a submersed size of 10-15cm.
As the name of the cultivar states, the submersed leaves will display a deep red colouration with oddly round leaves. The central vien of the leaves will be visible always as the plant develops and matures.
Like other swords, when the growing enviourment is favourable (or seasonal or in stress), they will grow what is called an "adventagous" leaf/sprout that will either flower when above water, and fully develop plantlets if the flower itself is submersed.
This is one of the ways to propagate swords quickly.
