Appearance

Features short, broad leaves with a smooth to lightly textured surface in shades of olive-green to golden-yellow-brown. Compact in stature, typically reaching 10–15 cm, making it an excellent foreground to mid-ground plant for a wide range of tank sizes.

• Lighting: Low to medium — one of the most shade-tolerant Crypts available
• CO₂: Not required; supplementation supports faster, lusher growth
• Fertilizer: Root tabs recommended; responds well to liquid fertilizers
• Temperature: 22–28°C (72–82°F)
• pH: 6.0–7.5
• Growth Rate: Slow to moderate — brief Crypt melt after planting is normal and temporary
