Appearance
The Long Wavy cultivar displays elongated, narrow leaves with gently undulating, wavy margins that give the plant a flowing, dynamic quality. The leaves are longer and more slender than standard Anubias nana, with a soft wave running along the leaf edges that creates a sense of natural movement even in still water. The deep green, glossy colouration and flowing leaf shape make this cultivar a beautiful and distinctive accent plant in any aquascape.
Water Parameters & Care
- Temperature: 72 – 82°F (22 – 28°C)
- pH: 6.0 – 8.0
- General Hardness (GH): 3 – 20 dGH
- Lighting: Low to moderate
- CO₂: Not required

Planting & Placement
Never bury the rhizome in substrate — attach to driftwood or rocks using fishing line, cotton thread, or aquarium-safe glue. Its flowing leaf shape makes it ideal for foreground to midground placement, where its wavy leaves can be appreciated as a graceful accent in the aquascape.
Compatibility
Compatible with all freshwater fish and invertebrates. Thick leaves resist most herbivorous fish. Algae can develop on older leaves — Otocinclus, Amano shrimp, and Nerite snails are excellent companions for algae control.
Propagation
Divide the rhizome with a clean, sharp blade, ensuring each section has at least 2–3 leaves. Attach new sections to driftwood or rock and allow to establish.
Anubias nana sp. Long Wavy is a graceful and distinctive cultivar that brings flowing elegance and natural movement to any aquascape. Easy to keep, virtually indestructible, and always beautiful — a wonderful addition to any planted tank.
