The Barteri Wrinkle Leaf cultivar displays broad, oval Anubias barteri leaves with a deeply wrinkled, corrugated, or bullate surface texture that gives each leaf a rich, three-dimensional quality. The large, textured leaves catch and scatter light in a uniquely attractive way, creating a dramatic visual effect in the aquarium. Planting & Placement

Never bury the rhizome in substrate — attach to driftwood or rocks using fishing line, cotton thread, or aquarium-safe glue. Best placed in the midground to background of medium to large aquariums where its impressive size and dramatic texture can be fully appreciated.

Compatibility

Compatible with all freshwater fish and invertebrates. Thick, leathery leaves resist even the most determined herbivorous fish. Algae can develop on older leaves — Otocinclus, Amano shrimp, and Nerite snails are excellent companions for algae control.

Propagation

Divide the rhizome with a clean, sharp blade, ensuring each section has at least 2–3 leaves. Attach new sections to driftwood or rock and allow to establish.
