Appearance

The Snow Cichlid displays a clean, uniform white to pale cream colouration across the entire body — a striking, pure appearance that stands out dramatically against the colourful backdrop of a typical Malawi Mbuna aquarium. The pale colouration creates a beautiful contrast with the vivid blues, reds, and yellows of other Mbuna species. Both males and females display similar white colouration.

Breeding

Maternal mouthbrooders. Females incubate eggs in their mouths for 3–4 weeks.
